What it's about
The title sets the scene plainly: an ancient-dynasty famine (饥荒古代), with the story opening on two sisters seeking shelter and asking to be taken in (求收留). It's a costume-era survival premise — hardship as the backdrop, with the sisters' search for refuge as the starting point for whatever follows across the full run.
