A long, complete run like this one is exactly where a downloader earns its keep — 88 episodes is a lot to stream one at a time, and a lot to lose if the app ever pulls the title.
What it's about
The title lays out the premise directly: right from the opening (开局), the lead receives a Merit Ledger (功德录) — the genre's familiar game-like "system" mechanic, here tied specifically to tracking good deeds rather than combat stats. From there they set out to do good deeds (做善事) while making their way through the wuxia world (闯江湖) — 江湖, literally "rivers and lakes," is the standard term for the wandering martial-arts underworld these stories are set in. It's a wuxia-adjacent "system" drama built around virtue as the core mechanic, rather than cultivation ranks or battle power.
